Why is it so expensive to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO?Updated a year ago

This question, is better asked to the shipping companies, although we know the answer.  They are so far away from where we are shipping from.   Up until early 2023, USPS had provided affordable ways to ship to these areas, but then changed how they calculated shipping.  And a box at 1lb that cost that had cost $11 to ship, now costs almost $30.  We only charge the actual shipping cost of what they charge us to get it to you. so we're trying to make it as affordable as possible.
